Cymbals Eat Guitars - Living North
Pitchfork darlings Cymbals Eat Guitars are more than the sum of their influences…barely. It took several audio laps to get past the nagging feeling that I was listening to a long lost Pavement or Ultimate Alternative Wavers-era Built to Spill record. But it happened, and I would count myself a fan of their doings. Living North is the type of song that would make those aforementioned Pacific Northwest indie lords proud, but also jealous that they didn’t get to that riff first.
