The Hood Internet - I’m A Flirt (Shoreline) (R. Kelly feat. T-Pain vs. Broken Social Scene)
Two Chicago-based mash-up artists, The Hood Internet are my recently-found soulmates. Churning out a less frenetic and usually less successful version of the type of jams that have made Girl Talk a household name, the premise is simple. Pair well-known indie rock backing tracks to choice rap verses; like a fine wine with a stinky cheese. Simply put, this shit was made for me. I am pretty sure my undying love for BSS’ Shoreline and R. Kelly’s I’m a Flirt are not clouding my judgment here, this mash-up is a triumph.
