Ludacris - Do The Right Thang ft. Common & Spike Lee
In keeping with the commercial rap tradition of placing a half-hearted message track as the album closer, this 9th Wonder production definitely feels tacked on. Luda elicits an awkward intro from the title-sanctioning Spike Lee and has Common lend a helping hand. Nothing special with the lyrics here, just your usual, “Oh, nevermind the previous 13 tracks of gangsta rap you just heard, don’t do what I just glorified”. But on a purely musical level 9th Wonder nails it. Reminds me of a 1970s cop show theme song.
