Exaltasamba - Jogo de Seducao
I never really counted myself a fan of “world music” or whatever that entails; and I still don’t. This despite my 2 weeks spent in Brazil, where I made a conscious decision to put down my ipod and listen to the ambient world for once. What I found was Samba music and I aren’t well suited for each other; I don’t speak Portuguese and I certainly can’t dance. But out of all the musics I heard on my trip, I would say this track was my jam. Game of Seduction, in this 2007 live form, is catchy as fuck and the expert crowd participation, featuring some tricky ass rhythmic clapping, impresses me greatly.
