Tunng - Soup
Full disclosure here; I first heard this song in part on the Hood Internet’s 2nd mixtape, used as the backing for a Lil Wayne verse. So entranced I was by the fantastically fuzzed out guitar melody, I sought out Tunng’s 2007 album Good Arrows. In its natural form, this “folktronica” instrumental is flat-out awesome, from start to finish. The drum sequencing is spot on and the aforementioned guitar work fucking rocks. One of my favorite instrumentals.
